Ken Banks

Ken was born in Rome, Georgia and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He received his law degree from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Prior to joining Navicent Health, Ken was an attorney in private practice as a partner in the Macon law firm of Sell & Melton.

Ken is a member of the Macon Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia (Health Law Section), American Bar Association, Georgia Academy of Health Care Attorneys (Board Member, 1998-2007; Chair, Legislative Committee, 2000; President, 2005-2006), American Health Lawyers Association, American Corporate Counsel Association, and Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates. He was selected as a Georgia Super Lawyer for healthcare law by Law and Politics Media and Atlanta Magazine in 2007, 2008, and 2009 as a result of a peer review process to identify the top 5% of Georgia attorneys. He is a board member of Central Georgia Health Network LLC and Central Professional Indemnity (SPC), Ltd.

He is a former board member of The United Way of Central Georgia, a past member of The Vestry of Christ Episcopal Church in Macon, Georgia, and a past board member of Hay House and Advocacy Resource Center of Macon. He was a member of the Leadership Macon Class of 1997. His wife, Martie, is a former nurse and a community volunteer. Martie and Ken have two children, Martha Banner and Kenneth Bailey.
